DIY Hydrangea Bouquet

I’m planning on using just hydrangeas for my wedding bouquets, so I figured I could handle DIY-ing them. A quick internet search and I found this fabulous tutorial. The instructions are clear and simple and the photos are gorgeous.

Better than Bouquets

Creative brides all over the country are opting to skip the traditional flower bouquets in favor of more unique or “personalized” options. There are plenty of options if you’re willing to step outside the box.

Try fans, purses, parasols, Christmas ornaments, pinwheels, lanterns, candles, or peacock feathers. If you’re getting married in the winter, perhaps you and and your ‘maids will want to use muffs to keep your hands warm.

If you still want a bouquet, but want to try something a little different, why not look into paper flowers, or a button bouquet. You could also make a bouquet out of silk butterflies, wired crystals, or solid-colored ornaments.

Do some internet searches and see what you can find. If you’re planning to carry (or have your bridesmaids carry) something other than a traditional flower bouquet, I’d love to hear about it!

Bouquet Brings Down Plane

Are thinking of tossing your bouquet in an unusual manner? According to this story, tossing it from a plane may not be the best idea. Try something a little safer – and closer to the ground.

In Quotations

What you are as a single person, you will be as a married person, only to a greater degree. Any negative character trait will be intensified in a marriage relationship, because you will feel free to let your guard down — that person has committed himself to you and you no longer have to worry about scaring him off. — Josh McDowell
